Home|Thomas Kraft Second-Generation Jeweler and Gemologist

Tom is a second-generation Jeweler and Gemologist in the Kraft family, and has over 36 years of experience. Starting his jewelry career early on, by studying the Diamond course as a junior in high school, Tom’s future was clear in doing what he loved. He graduated from the Jewelry Management course at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 1984 and earned his Graduate Gemologist degree in 1985 and is currently recognized as the only active GIA Graduate Gemologist in Sheridan and Johnson counties. Tom’s experience runs deep in searching the world for the finest quality jewelry at the best prices available, attending some of the world’s largest jewelry shows and traveling to Antwerp, Belgium, on several occasions searching for the best diamond sources available.

Tom worked at Kraft’s Jewelry until 1997 when other opportunities took him to St. George, Utah, where he worked for one of the oldest jewelers in the area until 2013. Another opportunity again came along for Tom when in 2013 he moved to Tulsa, Okla. and went to work for one of the most successful single location, independently owned jewelry stores in the United States. There he learned many skills and knowledge to compete and succeed in today’s web based business world.

Tom’s love of community has always been close to his heart, serving many years on the Sheridan Noon Lion’s Club Board of Directors and then as President. In St. George, Utah, he served on the activities committee of the Historic Downtown Association and was instrumental in promoting downtown business. Tom also dedicated countless hours to the Intermountain Jewelers Association, serving for nearly two decades on the Board of Directors and as President of the organization. He was also named Jeweler of the Year in a voting among his peers in the four state organization. Tom is so excited to be back in Sheridan, the community he has always called home.
