Deena Ann Ogg John, 56, of Sheridan Wyoming peacefully passed away at Central Wyoming Medical Center on January 17th, 2019, with husband, Fred William John and family members by her side. Deena was born May 21st, 1962 in Riverton, WY to Charles and Marie Ogg.
Deena grew up in Jeffrey City, WY and moved to Miami, FL where she attended college for clothing design. She returned to Wyoming and eventually moved to Gillette, WY where she married the love of her life, Fred William John, on May 5th, 1990. Deena worked for S&M Construction as an Office Manager and co-owned and managed FJ Rentals with her husband. Deena and Fred then moved to Montana where they owned a small Ranch, which Deena managed, it was later subdivided and sold. In 1998, they moved to Sheridan, WY and established Wyoming Crafts & Wine Cellar, which Deena also managed. In 2006 the winery was sold, Deena moved on to work as an Office Manager for a local Electrical Contractor and managed Home Inspection Master (another shared business).
Deena was highly artistic and enjoyed tole painting, making crafts, and had a keen sense of fashion style. She loved the outdoors and spent her time horseback riding, fly-fishing and four-wheeling throughout the mountains of Wyoming with family and friends. Deena loved to travel, and spent numerous years traveling to Mexico visiting the archeological sites and integrating into the culture. She had a love of animals and spent most of her life raising chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, horses, and birds throughout the years. She loved watching sunsets each evening across the Big Horn Mountains with her husband Fred. Deena’s greatest passion was her love for the mountains.
Deena had a full personality with a subtle humor that warmed everyone she met. She had a sense of truth and honesty, which all loved ones in her life appreciated and respected. Deena’s creative style brought enthusiasm and an eager want for all that knew her to reach for more in life. She will be greatly missed.
Deena was proceeded in death by her father, Charles Dwayne Ogg Jr.. She is survived by her husband, Fred William John, and her beloved dog, Tank; her mother, Marie Swan Ogg, brother Mark Ogg (wife Robin Ogg), and step daughters Gina John and Jessica John (husband Nathan Fox); grandsons Rayne Latourell, Skyler Tipler, Brody Fox; and granddaughter Isabell Fox; nieces: Lindsy Lane (husband Patrick Lane), and Trisha Ogg; great nieces: Alice and Maggie Lane; great nephews: James Lane, Patrick Lane II, Malachi Lane; Aunt Carol Ann Ogg, Uncle Paul R. Ogg and wife Kitty; and numerous cousins.
A Visitation will be held at 9:00 am prior to the Service at 10:00 am on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. A reception will follow immediately in the Kane Reception Hall.
