Dale Gene Armstrong, 75, of Story, Wyoming, passed away April 27, 2019 in Sun City West, Arizona after a long illness.

The Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 25 at 11 AM at Story Community Church, 4 Ponderosa, Story, WY at 11 AM.

Dale was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska December 15, 1943. He grew up in Torrington, WY, attended University of Wyoming on a football scholarship, and later worked as a brand inspector in Torrington until he was transferred to Glenrock where he was a supervisor for District 5.

Dale married Donna Mieninger after graduating from Torrington High School, and they had two children, Barry and Tracy.

Dale married Helen Nolan December 12, 1987, and they made their home in Glenrock for the next 25 years until they moved to Story in 2012, where they spent many years in their cabin.

Dale retired from the State of Wyoming in 2016 from a job he loved for 45 years. He enjoyed team roping for many years, as well as the Big Horn mountains where he spent winters snowmobiling, and summers 4 wheeling. Hel loved spending time with family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife Helen, Son Barry (Melissa) of Casper, daughter Tracy Starr (Kevin) of Olivia, Minnesota, daughters Sally Suppes (Eric) of Glenrock, and Betsy McDonald (Chris) of Story, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.Dale was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Armstrong and his mother, Bonnie Armstrong of Torrington, and two brothers, Melvin and Bryon Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Story Community Church or Legacy Pregnancy Center.
