SHERIDAN — Get off your couch and on your feet for Trail End State Historic Site’s fourth annual First Day Hike on Jan. 1.

Those interested in participating should meet at the Kendrick Mansion at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a gentle 2.5-mile hike through Sheridan’s historic Nielsen Heights neighborhood.

Hot chocolate and healthy snacks await participants upon their return. Dogs on leashes are permitted. For more information, call 307-674-4589.
