SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School boys basketball team opened its season Thursday in Riverton. The Broncs dominated Evanston 69-41.
Tristan Bower paced Sheridan with 21 points.
Jacob Boint and Sam Lecholat tallied 10 points apiece, while Parker Christensen and Gus Wright each scored seven points.
The Broncs took the air out of the Red Devils’ sails early. Sheridan logged 21 first-quarter points against just five for Evanston. The Broncs led 40-26 at halftime and put the game out of reach in the third period.
Sheridan takes on Jackson Friday before finishing up the tournament Saturday against Rock Springs.
Lady Broncs fall to Red Devils
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School girls basketball team opened its season in Casper. The Lady Broncs fell to Evanston 41-27.
Annie Mitzel led Sheridan with seven points, while Mollie Morris and Katie Ligocki scored six points apiece.
Sheridan struggled to score all night, failing to tally double digits in any one quarter. The Lady Broncs only managed 14 first-half points and it didn’t get any better in the second 16 minutes.
Sheridan battles Kelly Walsh Friday before finishing up the tournament against Rock Springs Saturday.
