SHERIDAN — Dr. Sy Thickman will present “The Way We Were” as part of the Sheridan College Faculty Lecture Series.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Whitney Center for the Arts.

Thickman has been an involved, committed citizen of Sheridan for many years. He will share stories and anecdotes about the growth of Sheridan College over the last 70 years and its impact on the community. He will also share insights about the growth and impact of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center, Fulmer Public Library, Sheridan Memorial Hospital, The Hub on Smith and the YMCA.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Sheridan College Foundation at (307) 675-0700. The Whitney Center for the Arts is on the Sheridan College campus at 1 Whitney Way.
