SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College rodeo team traveled to Chadron, Nebraska, for its first rodeo of the fall season last weekend.

The Generals placed sixth with 205 points, while the Lady Generals didn’t have a cowgirl advance to the short round.

Cole Reiner led SC with a second-place finish in bareback, tallying 145 points, and teammate Chance Ames took seventh with 126 points. Ian McGivney scored 80 points to place third in saddle bronc, while Lane Schuelke finished fifth with 71 points.

Cole Brewer tied for seventh in the steer wrestling with 18.5 points.

The University of Wyoming won both the men’s and women’s team titles, scoring 580 and 420 points, respectively.

Sheridan College hosts the Pat Hamilton Memorial this weekend at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
