SHERIDAN — Dwight and Lorrie Layton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year. The couple wed July 6, 1968, at First Christian Church in Sheridan. Dwight Layton worked at Decker Coal and Big Horn Coal as a reclamation supervisor. He is now retired.

His wife worked as an educator at Sheridan County School District 2. She is also now retired.

The Laytons have two daughters — Tara (Chip) King of Sheridan and Becky (Tim) Kosma of Lakewood, Colorado. They also have one grandchild.
