SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Shakespeare Company will offer two free performances of “The Tempest” at the Kendrick Park bandshell Aug. 16-17.

Each show will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The play tells the story of a crew sailors who are shipwrecked on a magical island and tormented by an old man and his slaves.
