SHERIDAN — Joey’s Foundation recently received a grant that allows it to serve more of the community’s youth.

Wyoming Community Foundation’s Sheridan/Johnson local board awarded funds from the Sheridan Area Opportunities Fund, William J. Kirven, Jr. Fund and the Kim and Mary Kay Love Family Donor Advised Endowment Fund.

Many of the kids participating this summer are using fly rods they hand-crafted last winter with the help of founder Joey Puettman and instructor Mike Malone. Texas A&M University’s Nathan Mitchell interns with the foundation this summer as well.
