SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School boys soccer team bounced back from a disheartening Friday night home loss to topple rival Campbell County 2-1 Saturday in Gillette. The win improved the Broncs to 4-4-2 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play.
Sheridan dominated Campbell County in the first half, but much like Friday night, it didn’t equate to a lead. The Broncs outshot the Camels 9-1 but the game remained scoreless at halftime.
Sheridan’s Aaron Sessions netted the breakthrough goal during the 42nd minute, and he added to the Broncs’ advantage with another score in the 76th minute. Campbell County trimmed its deficit in half just a couple minutes later; however, Sheridan held on for the victory.
The Broncs travel to Laramie Friday. The two teams played to a 100-minute scoreless tie in Sheridan March 24.
