SHERIDAN — The All-State indoor track and field team, voted on by coaches, was released Monday. Seven Sheridan High School athletes made the list.
Kelly Moodry, Max Myers, Alec Riegert, Piper Carroll, McKinley Christopherson, Taemalle Lawson and Pippin Robison all received recognition. Moodry took home a pair of state titles, Myers boasted one and the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay team of Carroll, Christopherson, Lawson and Robison also found its way to the top of the podium.
The 1A-2A All-State basketball teams were also announced and Arvada-Clearmont’s McKenna Auzqui made the list after helping guide the Lady Panthers to a regular-season conference crown. Teammates Ashlynn Fennema and Kristin Klaahsen joined Auzqui on the All-Conference team. Big Horn’s Jill Mayer and Sydney Schmidt, along with Tongue River’s Jenna Keller, captured All-Conference honors, as well.
On the boys side, Big Horn’s Kade Eisele, Quinn McCafferty and Kade VanDyken, and Tongue River’s Jaren Fritz and Jay Keo earned spots on the 2A All-Conference team. The 1A All-Conference team included AC’s Clayton Auzqui.
A couple weeks ago, swimmer Oscar Patten and wrestler Reese Osborne made the All-State teams after claiming individual state championships in their respective sports.
