SC to host free jazz concert

SHERIDAN — Sheridan College will host a free jazz concert Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.

The Sheridan College Jazztet will perform a variety of work including “Blues in the Closet” by Oscar Pettiford and “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be” by Duke Ellington.

The performance will feature solos by Landon Alsup, Tim Doolin, Bhadshah Khan, Titus Brown, Erin Knutson, Sydnea Lopez, Juli Jarvis, Michael Cossel and Shane Carey. The concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The concert will take place at the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College, located at 3059 Coffeen Ave.
