SHERIDAN — All 5-year-olds in the community are invited to the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s annual 5-Year-Old Birthday Party on Saturday at the hospital.

The birthday party will be held on the back cafeteria patio area at the hospital at 10 a.m. and will end at 11 a.m. All children born in 2012 are invited to attend with their parents. Other siblings are also welcome to join in the fun. Parents may park in employee parking behind the hospital building.

All 5-year-olds will be given prizes and treats. The Shriner clowns will be on hand to give rides on their crazy vehicle. There will also be face painting and balloons. Children can enjoy popcorn, cookies and other treats. Invitations to the party are being distributed around town and sent home with area kindergartners.

The Hospital Auxiliary has sponsored this event since 1959. The party was first held that year to celebrate the fifth birthday of all babies born during the new hospital building’s first year: 1954.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital is located at 1401 W. Fifth St.
