SHERIDAN — Powder River Basin Resource Council will celebrate friends, family, music and local foods at its 12th annual Harvest Celebration on Sept. 9 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

A homegrown dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., featuring locally sourced barbecued hog, beef brisket, side dishes, salads and desserts, all prepared by PRBRC members.

Luminous Brewery and the No Name Bar will also have cash bars on site.

The nonprofit’s famous Pies by Guys auction will begin at 7 p.m. followed by Courtney Caplan’s famous dance calling.

Entertainment will be provided by Mark Paninos and Friends.

The cost for dinner is a $15 donation per plate for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger.

Winners of the Harvest Celebration raffle will also be drawn that evening. Items to be raffled include 25 pounds of beef donated by the Barlow Ranch, an organic heirloom vegetable basket donated by Prariana Farms and Alaskan salmon donated by Marcia Westkott and Stacy Page. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $25. All proceeds will benefit the Powder River Basin Resource Council.
