SHERIDAN — Wyoming Wilderness Association member Julie Greer and local geoscientist and trekker extraordinaire Steve Stresky will lead an overnight outing in Rock Creek Recommended Wilderness Area on the Bighorn National Forest on Aug. 12-13.

Learn about the area’s diverse geology, Leave No Trace ethics and WWA’s long campaign to achieve congressional wilderness designation for the area.

Those not interested in staying overnight can make the hike out Aug. 12.

The hike is 10 miles round-trip.

WWA encourages you to get outside and explore the wild spaces and solitude that make our state special.  For more information and to register for this outing, contact Madi at 672-2751 or madi@wildwyo.org.
