SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School jazz band will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sheridan High School’s Sue Henry Auditorium.

The jazz band will perform a variety of styles including jazz, blues and rock.

The opening number, “Vamoose Your Caboose,” was written by SHS graduate Bob Washut who is now a well-known jazz composer and professor of music at the University of Northern Iowa.

“Autumn Leaves” will feature Ethan Chartier on guitar and “When Sunny Gets Blue” will feature Max Marquis on alto sax.

The SHS jazz band is under the direction of Diane Knutson.

The concert is free and open to the public.
