Boys soccer matches moved indoors

SHERIDAN — Mother Nature could be a major issue for outdoor sports this weekend, as the National Weather Service shows plenty of cold, snowy weather in the forecast. The weather is supposed to move into Wyoming late Thursday and stay through the weekend, putting a number of soccer matches, track meets and golf tournaments in danger of cancellation.

The predicted storm has already forced some changes. Thursday’s track meet between Sheridan and Buffalo was canceled, and the boys soccer matches in Cheyenne have been moved to Laramie.

The Sheridan boys soccer team will play its two scheduled matches against Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central at the indoor practice facility on the University of Wyoming campus. The game times were not changed — the Broncs will play East Friday at 6 p.m. and Central Saturday at noon.

The Sheridan golf team is scheduled to play in Powell Friday, and SHS tennis is supposed to host the Sheridan Invite — its only home match of the spring season — Saturday.
