SHERIDAN — The 2013 Miss Wyoming pageant will be held at the Sheridan WYO Theater next weekend.
This year’s pageant theme is, “This Girl Is On Fire.” The preshow June 22 will begin at 7 p.m, followed by the pageant at 7:30 p.m. The pre-crowning ceremony will highlight the pageant’s little sisters program and Miss Wyoming Outstanding Teen.
The pageant will also feature the previous Miss Wyoming and third runner-up to Miss America, Lexie Madden, preforming piano compositions. Also joining the performance is Jenn McCafferty-Webb, Miss Wyoming 2007, as the mistress of ceremonies.
The Miss Wyoming pageant is a competition for the 2013 crown between six contestants: Miss Green River Rebecca Martin, Miss Weston County Rebecca Podio, Miss Southwest Wyoming Chelsea Price, Miss Oyster Ridge Caitlin Bush, Miss Albany County Mikaela Shaw and Miss Johnson County Sarah Cheeney.
The 2013 Miss Wyoming will be crowned June 22 and will go on to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., in September.
Girls will compete in several categories: interview, talent, fitness, evening gowns and onstage questions.
Throughout the week prior to the pageant, the girls will also participate in several events in the Sheridan area.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students.
