SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County high school rodeo team will host its 2016 NFR Party Saturday at the Holiday Inn.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a Happy Hour and hors d’eouvres to accompany a silent auction, which includes a custom, made-to-order pair of chaps from three-time WNFR qualifier Joe Frost. Front will also participate as guest auctioneer at the event.

There will be a live auction beginning at 7 p.m., featuring a Calcutta of the top 15 NFR qualifiers in each event.

The top 15 NFR qualifiers will be randomly drawn into 15 team positions and auctioned as a Calcutta. Results of the NFR will be tracked throughout all 10 go-rounds — Dec. 1-10 — and 50 percent of the proceeds will be paid out to the top-three winning team owners.

Following the auction, there will be a dance with music by Justin Beasley and After the Rodeo.

Proceeds from the event also benefit the Sheridan County high school rodeo team for scholarships and travel money, as well as helping with the costs of hosting their own rodeo in Sheridan.

The Sheridan County high school rodeo team currently includes students from Sheridan High School and Big Horn High School.
