Sheridan College education student Abby Fauber gives instructions to students during a Sheridan College elementary education classroom session at the Broadway Center in Sheridan. Sheridan College elementary education students have the opportunity to teach their own curriculum and experience a classroom before earning an associate degree. Typically, an education student would not be exposed to teaching environments until he or she is working as a student teacher. A partnership with the after-school program at Sheridan County School District 2 brings dozens of elementary students to the college’s Broadway Center to engage in science, technology, engineering and math classes taught by the college students.
