The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation for all that believe, providing all we need for life.

Mankind is made in God’s image and likeness. We are the expression of His being and His great love. We were given His life and have His DNA.  Because man was separated from God by sin, Jesus, the son of God, became man and died for us on the cross so we could have the relationship and intimacy with God that He has desired and planned for all eternity.

The Bible tells of certain men that had great hunger for God. Enoch walked with God and was no more for God took him. Abraham was known as a friend of God. Moses talked with God face to face like a man talks to his friend. God partners with mankind in all his plans.

The Father’s love for us is so much greater than we can ever imagine. He wants us to understand the breadth and length and depth and height and to know the love of Christ that passes knowledge. The Father and Jesus love us as much as they love each other (John 15:9, 17:26).

Jesus willingly gave His life so He could know us as friends and brothers.  The whole of the death and resurrection of Jesus brought tremendous joy to the Father and the Son.  For thousands of years they had awaited  the time that the family of God could be real and open to all mankind. It was for this joy that Jesus was able to suffer the terrible price of our sin.

With invitation and complete freedom man can come into the throne room of God (Heb 4:16, 10:19). In fact, the Father has seated us with Jesus in heavenly places (Eph 2:6) where Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father (Eph 1:20). Sounds like the throne room to me for us.  It’s available and we can live from this great place of God’s presence now  where there is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore (Ps16:11).  David’s longing to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life (Ps 27:4) is fulfilled in our time through our reconciliation to God. This is living the gospel of salvation.

The Father tells us how he longs for us, how he rejoices and sings over us and delights in us. He will give us wisdom and understanding and show us things to come. God wants us to enjoy Him and know Him. Joy and pleasures are high on God’s activity list and we are the object of His affection and desires.

The God of the universe wants us to be filled and overflowing with His presence. The results of our intimacy with God will be noticeable. We will bear much fruit which will effect our daily life and those around us. From our spirit will flow rivers of living water, the very presence of God. With boldness the gospel of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed.

What a great life and position God has provided for every person who says “yes” to Jesus.
