SHERIDAN — Ready to pack up the Christmas ornaments and move into the new year? Not sure what to do with that tree you cut down in the Bighorns or bought at a local retailer?

The city of Sheridan will collect Christmas trees at several area drop sites through the end of January.

The dropsites are located at:

• the city landfill, 83 East Ridge Road.

• the skate park parking area, adjacent to Thorne-Rider Park off of 11th Street.

• 1261 Highland Ave., near the intersection of Fifth Street and Highland Avenue.

• Washington Park, on Coffeen Avenue.

• Marshall Park, on Big Horn Avenue at Edwards Drive.

Any Christmas trees disposed of after Jan. 29 will need to be taken to the landfill. There will be no charge for disposal.
