SHERIDAN — The annual test of willpower known as the Polar Bear Plunge is set for Friday at 1 p.m.

All willing to jump into Lake DeSmet, or watch others do so, are welcome.

Approximately 75 people participated last year.

Organizers recommend bringing some warm clothes for after the plunge.
