SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Arts Council’s second concert of the 2015-16 season will feature the Billings Symphony’s Top Brass chamber ensemble Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
Formed only a year and a half ago for the inaugural concert of the Billings Symphony’s chamber series, Top Brass is comprised of principal trumpeter Mark Fenderson, principal trombonist Mark Soueidi and principal French hornist John Dutton, along with pianist Jen Brantz from the Rocky Mountain College music department.
While the musicians play together monthly in the Billings Symphony, they rarely have the opportunity to play as a brass-chamber group, as they will in Sheridan. Top Brass has played concerts in Montana and Wyoming and its members look forward to continuing to bring brass-chamber music to audiences in the West and beyond.
The program will consist of works by 19th- and 20th-century composers.
The cost to attend is $10 for adults, $5 for students and $8 for seniors and military members.
Tickets are available through the WYO Theater, at First Baptist Church and at the door.
First Baptist Church in Sheridan is located at 3178 Big Horn Ave.
