SHERIDAN — Rose Hill, Wyoming’s current poet laureate, will take part in a poetry reading presented by the Third Thursday Poets on Thursday.

The event will take place in the community room at the Sheridan Senior Center beginning at 12:30 p.m. in observance of Poetry Day.

Members of the Third Thursday Poets include Janet Ashear, Charles Gibson, Aaron Holst, Rae Marie McReynolds, Renee Meador, Abbie Taylor, Joyce Clemens and Tonya Howe.

The reading Thursday will serve as a tribute to Bruce Anderson, a longtime member of the group who died Aug. 27 at the age of 92.

Third Thursday Poets have met monthly on the third Thursday of each month since 2006.

Hill’s reading is free and open to the public.
