SHERIDAN — The Small Business Administration has organized a “Boots to Business: Reboot” event to be held at the Sheridan Veterans Affairs Health Care System auditorium Sept. 15-16.
The event is open to the public, but geared toward veterans.
The “Boots to Business: Reboot” program is an extension of the Entrepreneurship Track of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program.
The program offers a two-part continuum of entrepreneurship training and education. Part one is a one or two-day introduction to entrepreneurship course instructed by SBA partners.
This course’s curriculum includes steps for evaluating business concepts, foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan and information on SBA resources available for accessing start-up capital and additional technical assistance.
The second part of the program is an eight-week online course.
The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 16.
For additional information or to register for the training, call Deb Farris at 261-6500 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Sheridan VA Health Care System is located at 1898 Fort Road and the auditorium is in building 61.
