SHERIDAN — The 12th annual Wholeness Retreat at the HF Bar Ranch will be held Sept. 11-13.
Dr. Mark McGinley, a pulmonologist, yoga teacher and Ayurveda instructor will present the science and practices behind meditation and teach breathing practices for stress reduction. McGinley is board certified in internal medicine, integrative medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine and is the medical director of the Tate Wellness Center at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
Dr. Deborah Angersbach from Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic in Billings will present information on what impacts the immune system, how we can support and heal the immune system when it is compromised and then lead a nature hike looking at medicinal plants and herbs indigenous to Wyoming.
Susan Gibbs, horse trainer, will teach biosomatics, which are intricate movements meant to increase our awareness of bad habits and ways to relax and move muscles properly. She will also discuss working with Ruppert Issacson, of Horse Boy World, and how she applies the knowledge she has gained about sensory movement and how it affects the brain to her own work with individuals and horses.
There will be yoga, gigong, yoga nidra and Ayurveda.
The cost to attend the full retreat is $265, but lower costs are available for portions of the event.
