SHERIDAN — Wyoming Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics named Georgia Boley as its 2015 Outstanding Dietitian of the Year at its recent annual conference in Laramie.
Criteria for the award include a demonstration of outstanding leadership and service to the profession.
“Georgia’s leadership as the WAND’s Reimbursement Representative was key in her nomination,” WAND President Paula Eskam said. “She helps fellow dietitians work with health insurance to provide nutrition counseling and advocates the cost-effective service of nutrition counseling, which helps bring nutrition resources to Wyoming citizens.”
Boley is the owner of Tailored Nutrition LLC, a nutrition counseling private practice located at Journey’s Center of Wellbeing in Sheridan.
She also works at Sheridan Senior Center and is an adjunct instructor at Northern Wyoming Community College.
With 114 active members, the Wyoming Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic’s vision is that members are recognized and utilized as the most valued resource for food and nutrition services, with the mission of empowering Wyoming’s food and nutrition experts.
WAND’s community goals are to increase involvement in community events, provide accurate nutrition information to the public and become involved in school, food security and health and wellness at all levels.
