SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Broncs eighth-grade football team finished an outstanding season with a 40-28 victory over Buffalo to cap off an 8-1 season.

Parker Christensen finished his junior high football career on a high note, rushing for more than 200 yards and finding the end zone three times. In addition, quarterback Cody Stults connected with Beknazar Alikulov on a 60-yard pass for a touchdown, and Quinn Heyneman had three catches and connected on all five of his extra point attempts.

The defense got a piece of the scoring action, too, when Jayden Underwood used some nifty moves to return a fumble 55 yards behind lead blocker Jacob Dickson.

The Broncs finished the season at the top of their conference.

“This was a group of football players that never gave up and always played their best no matter the circumstances,” coach Tim Cooper said.
