SHERIDAN — CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy is having its third trimester volunteer training Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Designed originally to serve children and adults with special needs with therapeutic riding, the CHAPS program has expanded. The nonprofit organization now offers equine assisted activities and equine facilitated learning for veterans from the Sheridan VA Medical Center and at-risk youth from Fort Mackenzie High School.

The volunteer training will be held at the CHAPS barn at 501 Highway 14 East.
