SHERIDAN — The 2020 Sheridan WYO Rodeo will celebrate 90 years in the arena July 8-11. Tickets for this community event are now available online at sheridanwyorodeo.com.
Beginning Tuesday, downtown box office ticket sales launch at 171 N. Main St., through the double doors at Bighorn Designs. Ticket sales continue at the rodeo’s downtown box office location Tuesdays through Thursdays, 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Online ticket sales will continue until 5 p.m. July 8.
“Ninety years is a proud milestone for the Sheridan WYO Rodeo,” said Billy Craft, WYO Rodeo board president. “We’re honored to follow in the footsteps of the community-minded mavericks who established the WYO in 1931. And while they may not have known it then, their very first rodeo poster artist, E.W. ‘Bill’ Gollings, set the tone for what the WYO Rodeo still represents today.
The 90th year collectible poster will celebrate Gollings style and make it clear that the WYO Rodeo is as meaningful to this community today as it was in 1931.”
This year’s WYO Rodeo campaign highlights historic images of cowboys, cowgirls, rodeo queens and animal athletes. This year’s collectible 90th celebration posters will go on sale in March at the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and online at sheridanwyorodeo.com.
