Broncs lose two on the road

SHERIDAN — Sheridan High School boys basketball team lost both games in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday.

The Broncs lost to Cheyenne Central High School 81-36 and lost to Cheyenne East High School 83-72.

Sheridan hosts Cheyenne South High School Feb. 14.

 

Lady Broncs fall to East

SHERIDAN — Sheridan High School girls basketball team lost to Cheyenne East High School Saturday 73-26.

Preslee Moser led the team with eight points.

Broncs swimming competes at conference meet

SHERIDAN — Sheridan High School boys swimming and diving competed at the 4A East Conference meet held in Gillette Friday and Saturday. The Broncs finished fifth as a team.

Bryson Shosten finished third in the 200-yard freestyle event.

Emmett Potter finished fourth in the 1-meter diving competition.

Thomas Yates finished third in the 100-yard butterfly.

Shosten finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle event.

The relay team of Yates, Ben Patten, Shosten and Isaac Otto finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The same team finished third in the 400-yard freestyle event.

Sheridan competes at the state meet Feb. 21-22.

 

Rams end weekend with win

BIG HORN — Big Horn High School boys basketball team lost to Buffalo High School 49-36 Friday night. The Rams trailed 25-22 at halftime. Quinn McCafferty led the team with 13 points.

The Rams defeated Newcastle High School 50-35 on the road Saturday. Big Horn entered halftime with a 21-29 lead. Carson Bates led the team with 13 points.

Big Horn travels to Moorcroft High School Feb. 14.

 

Lady Rams lose to Newcastle

BIG HORN — Big Horn High School girls basketball lost to Newcastle High School 35-29 Saturday. The Lady Rams trailed 15-11 at halftime. Courtney Wallach led the team with 12 points.

Arvada-Clearmont takes down Midwest

CLEARMONT — Arvada-Clearmont High School boys and girls basketball teams defeated Midwest High School Saturday.

The Lady Panthers won 43-32 and were led by McKenna Auzqui with 17 points.

The Panthers won 59-49 and were led by Colin Malli with 21 points and Parker Manor with 20 points.

Arvada-Clearmont travels to Hulett High School Feb. 14.

 

BH tracksters make good showing

BIG HORN — Big Horn High School indoor tracksters had a good day in Casper Saturday, head coach Andrew Marcure said.

Senior sprinter and long jumper Will Pelissier placed second in both events. He ran 6.75 in the 55-meter and jumped 21-1.75 inches in the long jump.

Kyler Ostler took sixth in the 55-meter hurdles with a 8.64.

Next weekend, the team will be traveling to the Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho.
