BANNER — Powder River’s 14th annual Harvest celebration and potluck is scheduled for Aug. 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Kearney Hall, 4444 US Highway 87, Banner (I-90 Exit 44 Story/Banner).
A homegrown dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. featuring locally sourced lamb curry meatballs and beef bourguignon, as well as side dishes, salads and desserts. The Invasion Bar will provide a cash bar on site, and the Pies by Guys auction will begin at 7 p.m. Live music will be provided by Mark Paninos and Friends.
Attendees are asked to bring a homemade side dish, salad or dessert to share. Please note that desserts will be auctioned off through a silent auction so they should be brought in a container that does not need to be returned. Winners of the Harvest celebration raffle will also be drawn that evening. Raffle items include: a $250 equipment rental from Heartland Kubota, a Durham bison meat package valued at $89, and a local foods basket with foods donated by area farmers and ranchers.
