SHERIDAN — A Sheridan man was run over by a bicyclist on the local walking paths and has been hospitalized in Billings with injuries.

Jeremy Stanton emailed The Sheridan Press and Sheridan Police Lt. Travis Koltiska confirmed that the department took a report about the incident 8 a.m. Tuesday. Neither the bicyclist nor the victim have been identified by law enforcement.

Stanton said the Sheridan man was run over by the bicyclist Tuesday morning, which resulted in the man suffering tire tracks across his body, broken ribs, a sprained or fractured wrist, concussion and bleeding of the brain that resulted in the victim being transported via helicopter to Billings to be monitored by neurological surgeons.

The Press will update with information on the incident as it is received by law enforcement officers.
