SHERIDAN — An accident during the Sheridan WYO Rodeo street dance resulted in Sheridan Stationery, Books and Gallery owners replacing the business’ front door.
Owner Robby Smith said she received a call Saturday night about the broken door. Sheridan Police Department officers contacted city of Sheridan employees, who then patched up the door with miscellaneous items.
“We’re just so grateful to the police department and city employees who helped,” Smith said Monday afternoon.
Smith said an organizer of the street dance told her the incident was an accident and resulted in no citations or injuries. No explanation as to how the door was broken was given other than it was an accident. No items were reported stolen from the business.
Parker’s Glass Shop came in early Monday morning and had the door glass replaced before the afternoon. A bill was sent to SPD in case restitution is available.
