SHERIDAN — Fire crews spent around four hours attending to an attic fire at 201 W. Fifth St. Friday at 12:58 a.m.

A Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office deputy reported smoke coming from the roof of the building at the address. Sheridan Fire-Rescue, Goose Valley Fire, Rocky Mountain Ambulance, SCSO, Sheridan Police Department and Wyoming Highway Patrol all assisted on the scene.

The fire was found in the attic and was extinguished by 1:34 a.m. Crews cleared at 4:25 a.m.

Montana-Dakota Utilities assisted with eliminating electrical and natural gas hazards.

No injuries were reported, and cause of the fire and total damages are still under investigation.
