BIG HORN — The Brinton Museum will present “Black Sky Pictures: Wondrous Occurrences Both Real and Imagined” by Wyoming artist Andy Robbins, opening in the Northern Trust Gallery on Saturday.

Borrowing elements from petroglyphs, hieroglyphs and even cartoons, Robbins’ paintings depict humans, animals and other creatures coming together in stylized moments that are often more complex than initially supposed.

The exhibit is available to museum visitors through July 31.

A reception for the artist will take place Saturday from 2-4 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Brinton is located at 239 Brinton Road in Big Horn.
