EMIT hosts welding competition

SHERIDAN — EMIT Technologies hosted a welding competition Thursday.

The contest included three categories — sculpture, skill and speed. The event was the first of its kind hosted by EMIT and featured nearly 30 participants. Each first-place winner earned $500 in cash and additional prizes were awarded to second- and third-place finishers.

The following are the winners in each category:

 

Sculpture: 

First place — Corey Steele

Second place — Celsey Martin

Third place — Cole Yada

 

Skill:

First place — Samuel Cape

Second place — Kevin Scott

Third place — Drew Druckenmiller

 

Speed:

First place — Drew Druckenmiller

Second place — Justin Hoeff

Third place — Jared Meacham
