SHERIDAN — The first day of the College National Finals rodeo took place in Casper Sunday. Both Sheridan College cowboys completed their first go.

Chance Ames leads in bareback. He scored a 79.5-point ride and is 1.5 points clear of second place. Coby Johnson sits sixth in bull riding after logging a score of 75. He is seven points behind the co-leaders.

The action continues Monday.
