• Hoop shoot — Heat up the pavement with the crew from the Sheridan Recreation District on May 29 at 9 a.m. Weather permitting, participants will enjoy friendly games on the basketball court. Sign up at The Hub or recreation district.

• Bike Sheridan’s pathways with The Hub on Smith. Participants may borrow a bike from The Hub or bring their own. The group will also enjoy a scoop of ice cream from Kendrick Park. Sign up by 9 a.m. June 3 for the outing that day at 1 p.m. If weather delays the outing, a make-up date will be June 10.

• The Hub will host the next “When I’m 64 or more” life planning lecture series June 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. Bob Melvin, a retired law enforcement officer from Campbell County’s Sheriff’s Office will talk about fraud prevention. A complimentary chicken dinner will be served courtesy of AARP. The
