SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School golf team wrapped up its spring schedule at the 4A East Conference tournament in Gillette Tuesday. The Lady Broncs finished runner-up with a team score of 560, while the Broncs took third, tallying a 663.
“I’m so proud of this group of kids,” Sheridan Head Coach Kaelee Saner said. “We had a bit of a tough season with practice and weather. They persevered through it and made great gains.”
Abby James and Hannah Detmer led the way for the Lady Broncs. They both tied for third after carding a 182 (38-over). Izzy Laird and Katie Jorgensen each tied for ninth with a score of 197.
Brayden James paced the Broncs, finished third overall after recording a score of 149 (5-over). Sean Sanders logged a seventh-place finished with a 161, and Alex Sanders rounded out the Broncs’ top three, placing in a tie for 10th with a score of 166.
“This was a great ending to the season and a great springboard into the fall,” Saner said.
Thunder Basin won the girls competition, firing a 529, and Cheyenne East won the boys side, carding a 614.
