Sheridan College volleyball head coach Jennifer Stadler accepted the head coaching position at Chadron State College. According to Athletics Director Rich Hall, the department will immediately launch a national search to fill the coaching position.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for Coach Stadler,” Hall said. “For eight years, she has been a stable force in the Sheridan College athletic department and volleyball program. I appreciate her dedication and loyalty to her program, the department and the college.”
During her tenure at Sheridan College, Stadler guided the Generals to an overall record of 130-142. Thirty-seven of Stadler’s players have graduated from Sheridan College and 21 transferred to four-year schools on scholarship.
The volleyball team logged fourth- and second-place finishes in the Region IX North Division the last two years, respectively. The Generals also received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Academic Team Award for finishing the 2017-18 year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.3.
“I am going to miss Coach Stadler. She is one of the finest individuals and hardest working people at Sheridan College.” Hall said. “Much of the work Jen does is behind the scenes. The dedication to her program and the athletic department will be greatly missed and hard to replace. We wish her best of luck at Chadron State.”
The Generals hope to have a head coach in place mid-summer.
