SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Troopers baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader Saturday in Laurel, Montana. Sheridan now stands at 3-3 overall.

The Troopers fell 1-0 on a walkoff in the first game and 14-4 in five innings in the second contest. Quinn McCafferty pitched 6 and one-third innings in the first game and only allowed one hit and one unearned run, but Sheridan struggled to get anything going offensively.

In the next game, the Troopers briefly took a 4-3 lead in the top of the third inning before surrendering 11 runs in the next three innings to lose on the 10-run rule. Hunter Stone recorded two RBIs for Sheridan.

The Troopers travel to Gillette Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
