SHERIDAN — Dr. Sarah Schreiber and Nate Boyd were recently elected by the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board of Directors to fill two vacant positions on the 13-member volunteer board.

Schreiber, owner of Moxey Schreiber Veterinary Hospital, grew up in Ennis, Montana, and attended Montana State University on a rodeo scholarship. After completing her undergraduate studies, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Schreiber arrived in Sheridan in 2000 and began the practice of veterinary medicine under Dr. Lance Moxey who volunteered his services for the WYO Rodeo. Schreiber followed suit and has volunteered to treat rodeo and contestant stock for the last 18 years.

On learning that she had been elected to the WYO Rodeo Board, she said she is “thrilled and truly honored.”

Nate Boyd was born and raised in Basin and has been around rodeo most of his life. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1999 after attending Sheridan College. Boyd has held banking positions for most of his working life and is currently employed by First Northern Bank in Sheridan. He has lived in Sheridan since 2009 and has been a volunteer for the WYO Rodeo since 2012.

Boyd assists the Wranglers and helps judge the Indian Relay races, but he does anything he’s asked to do to help make the WYO Rodeo a success.

Nate said he is “excited to be a member of the WYO Rodeo Board because it’s more than just another rodeo, it’s a huge part of the Sheridan community. I know the dedication required to be a WYO Rodeo Board member is much more than just wearing the shirt.”

Nick Siddle, president of the Sheridan WYO Rodeo, said the board welcomes Schreiber and Boyd.

“They have already demonstrated their commitment to the WYO Rodeo because of their many years of service as volunteers and we are pleased to have them as board members,” Siddle said.

Schreiber and Boyd join current board members Siddle, Lonnie Wright, Frank Boley, Linda St. Clair, Billy Craft, Jeff Wells, Charlie Jorgenson, Jim Wolfe, Jess Sams, Hayden Heaphy and Zane Garstad.
