SHERIDAN — The No. 5 Sheridan College men’s basketball team downed Northwest College 83-72 in Powell Wednesday night. The win improved the Generals to 28-1 on the season and 13-0 in Region IX play.

Cam Reece paced SC with 15 points to go alongside a team-high eight rebounds. AJ Bramah added 14 points, while Josh Bagley and Javary Christmas chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Generals shot 45 percent (28 of 62) from the floor and 29 percent (6 of 21) from 3-point land. The Trappers connected on 41 percent (26 of 63) of their field-goal attempts and 43 percent (12 of 28) of their shots from deep.

SC built a 20-point first half lead before holding a 39-26 halftime advantage. Northwest College trimmed its deficit to as little as three points in the second half, but the Generals pulled away late for the victory.

Sheridan closes the book on the regular season Saturday at No. 8 Casper College.
