9th annual National Juried Show  artist reception set for Thursday

SHERIDAN — An awards reception for the ninth annual National Juried Show will take place Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at SAGE Community Arts.

The show will remain on display through March 28.

Jenny Wuerker served as the juror for this year’s show, which carried the theme “The Art of Nature.” For more information, see artinsheridan.com.

Ladies-only snowmobiling planned for Feb. 21-24

SHERIDAN — Nadine Overwater from La Nina Sled Camp will lead a ladies-only snowmobile riding camp in the Bighorn Mountains Feb. 21-24.

This is the first time these camps have ever been offered in the U.S. Ryan Berchtold and Luke Sander will also be there to help with the camps.

Three camps will be offered. On Feb. 21-22, a backcountry bootcamp will be offered for a cost of $500 per participant. The camps is designed to get women away from their male counterparts and start building confidence to get out and ride on their own.

On Feb. 23, an advanced riding camp will be offered for $300 per person. This skills-based camp allows a select few women to ride with Overwater all day with one-on-one help.

The last day, Feb. 24, is open to both men and women and will include a day of riding. The cost is $100 per person.

The camps will be based out of Arrowhead Lodge, located at 6002 U.S. Highway 14 in the Bighorn Mountains.

 

Craftco to host Business After Hours

SHERIDAN — Craftco Metals Services, Inc. will host the next round of Business After Hours Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

The event will allow attendees to network and get to know the business and its staff.
