SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will present “Live from The Met: Massenet’s ‘Werther’” on March 15 at 11 a.m.
The performance is part of the series “The Metropolitan Opera: Live in High-Definition” which transmits opera performances to movie theaters and other venues around the world as part of The Metropolitan Opera’s efforts to reinvigorate opera and reach out to a broader public.
The program allows audiences to experience the production at the same time as the audience in New York.
“Werther” stars two of opera’s biggest artists, Jonas Kaufmann and Elina Garanca, appearing for the first time together at the Met. It is directed and designed by the team behind “Carmen,” Richard Eyre and Rob Howell.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at wyotheater.com, on the phone at 672-9084 or in person at the box office, which is located inside the theater at 42 N. Main St.
