SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will present “Live from The Met: Rossini’s ‘La Cenerentola’” on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The performance is the final installation of the series “The Metropolitan Opera: Live in High-Definition” which transmits opera performances to movie theaters and other venues around the world as part of The Metropolitan Opera’s efforts to reinvigorate opera and reach out to a broader public.
The program allows audiences to experience the production at the same time as the audience in New York.
“La Cenerentola” is the Italian version of Cinderella and stars Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Florez with Alessandro Corbelli and Luca Pisaroni rounding out the cast.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students.
Tickets may be purchased online at wyotheater.com, on the phone at 672-9084 or in person at the box office, which is located inside the theater at 42 N. Main St.
