SHERIDAN — The Wyoming Wilderness Association is offering the chance to spend a day in the Bighorn National Forest.

The “Rock Creek Ranch-to-Ranch Picnic” outing will be July 27.

The day will be spent with HF Bar Ranch owners Margi Schroth and Lily Bliss, following a 10-mile U.S. Forest Service trail from Paradise Guest Ranch to the JF Bar Ranch.

The trail takes you through wide alpine meadows overlooking Ant Hill, Seven Brothers and Cloud Peak.

The trail finishes by following the South Fork of Rock Creek down through a deeply cut canyon. This outing is rated “difficult.”
